This century bike ride (100 miles) joins a community of riders dedicated to changing the world for people with MS one pedal stroke at a time. This ride begins at Levi’s Plaza (100 and 75 mile ride) and makes its way through the coast and hills of San Francisco to a finish at SOMO Village, Rohnert Park, all while raising funds and awareness of Multiple Sclerosis.

Only the California Chapter massage therapists will provide massages to The 100(ish) Club Riders.  These riders are aware that they will be treated to a massage at the end of their ride, for their efforts in fundraising.

These athletes are very local, primarily coming from the San Francisco Bay and surrounding areas.  This is a great opportunity to grow your practice, so please bring your business cards!  Historically, tips from the riders have been very generous!

AMTA CA will also be promoting our National Massage Therapy Awareness Week® (October 20-26) and FindAMassageTherapist.org® while working with the MS Society at this event.

What we need from you:
Register through CVENT to be a volunteer. Arrive by 9am! to unload and set up. Bring your massage table and/or chair.  Dress comfortably, but professional.  We will be outdoors under tents.  Weather/Temperatures change throughout the day, so dress accordingly. Remember to Bring Your Business Cards!!  We should be done and able to leave the event by 6pm.  You are welcome to stay longer to enjoy the festivities with your bracelet.

The Chapter and MS will provide bracelets, name tags, business card rack, table cleaner, hand sanitizer, disposable face cradle covers, gloves, masks (if desired or required by the event), sign in/waivers/consent to touch for the athletes, chairs, top sheets, food drink, possible T-shirts and swag bag.

National Massage Therapy Awareness Week
Oct 20 – Oct 26 all-day

Promote the massage profession and your practice during AMTA’s Annual National Massage Therapy Awareness Week in October.

AMTA’s Annual National Massage Therapy Awareness Week® (NMTAW) will take place October 20-26, 2024. This is a dedicated week for massage therapists across the U.S. to promote the health benefits of massage therapy and their practices. Here are three easy ways to celebrate, while sharing massage benefits with your clients and community.

3 Ways to Celebrate NMTAW

1. Educate The Public

Take this opportunity to help educate your community on the many health benefits of massage therapy. Distribute research and information on massage at your practice and share with doctors’ offices, health clubs, and other locations focusing on health and wellness. You can access free massage education materials on AMTA’s website to help you get started.

2. Leverage Your Digital Presence

National Massage Therapy Awareness Week can be an optimal time to boost your digital presence with your clients and community. Share articles and facts on the health benefits of massage therapy on your website, social media pages, or via an e-newsletter. Or, encourage clients to book a massage by offering special promotions online.

Get helpful social media tips as you prepare for NMTAW. And, make sure you’re following AMTA on Facebook and Instagram for great content to share with your clients.

3. Update Your Profile On AMTA’s Find a Massage Therapist® Locator Service

Make sure your profile on AMTA’s Find a Massage Therapist national locator service is up-to-date. Or if you don’t have a profile, now may be the perfect time to activate one. An effective profile can broaden your reach, build your brand, and educate current and future massage clients about your practice. You can even take it a step further and tell a colleague about the benefits of creating a listing.
