This class is designed to expose massage therapists and allied partners to the capacity of massage therapy within the Continuum of Care. With a focus on massage for healthcare, class content emphasizes major healthcare definitions, clinical models, & trends specific to the veteran patient population. Topics include basic methods and techniques, such as Cultural Competency, that support the role of a massage therapist as a participant in a Team-Based Care plan. As an introductory class, instruction, content, and materials provided serve as a foundation for advanced learning.
