A Massage Therapist’s Guide to Diabetes: Diabetes mellitus, the 7th leading cause of death in the US, affects about one-third of our adult population. You almost certainly have clients with diabetes or pre-diabetes. Are you fully prepared to offer safe and effective bodywork for them? This lively 90-minute class will take a close look at the issue of diabetes, with special emphasis on pathophysiology, complications, and the many, many ways this disease must inform massage therapy strategies and clinical decision-making for the best possible outcomes.
