This course will introduce you to several principals that can benefit any massage practice. A practice utilizing touch to the skin to engage the nervous system to promote change for the client.

About Julie Porter :

Julie Porter started her first career involving helping, supporting and inspiring people in 1991. It was then that she received her Bachelors of Nursing from the University of San Francisco. She continues to practice bedside nursing to this day. In 2006 she decided to take on a second career involving helping, supporting and inspiring people. It was then that she started her training as a massage therapist with the National Holistic Institute (NHI). In 2007 she opened her private practice where she is best known for therapeutic massage, with a reputation for providing pain relief, improving function, and enabling athletic performance. At the end of 2007 she started teaching for NHI for 10 years. Julie taught the foundational massage program and in her last six years she taught Advanced Neuromuscular work. In 2013-14 Julie co-started an educational business Institute of Manual Neuroscience (IOMNS) its goal is to bring science-based education to manual therapists. Julie is a recognized continuing education provider, teaching classes in pain science, pain management, and Dermoneuromodulation. She is a certified massage therapist by the state of California, Certified Dermoneuromodulation Instructor and an approved CE provider for NCBTMB. Besides all the professional stats, Julie is happily married, has two amazing grown daughters and two wonderful dogs at home.
